LS travel retail Pacific expands its Cairns Airport business
A long-term operator at the airport, the Travel Retail specialist has expanded its operations in both the International and Domestic Terminals. The development includes the introduction of new brands, as well as a number of refits and enhancements to existing concepts.
Within the Domestic Terminal, the company has added new shop-in-shop concepts to its existing 547sqm emporium-style offer, including the iconic ‘Australian Made’ brand, electronic accessories concept, ‘tech2go’ and an expanded ‘Hub Convenience’ offer. The new concepts join the existing, well-known NewsLink and Discover brands.
In addition, the development has also seen the retailer bring Australia’s hottest stationery brand to the airport, with the opening of a new 86sqm ‘Smiggle’ store.
Across in the International Terminal the operator has been just as busy, expanding and relaunching two of its existing stores, ‘Discover Dreamtime’ and ‘Purely Merino’, with new-look store designs—and in the case of Purely Merino—an increased footprint.
The company has also launched its food & beverage operation at the airport, with the opening of two coffee carts (one each in the International and Domestic Terminals) and a large 535sqm café in the International Airside departures area, under LS travel retail’s international food & beverage brand, ‘TRIBs’.
