LS travel retail Pacific awarded three concessions at Perth Airport
The development will see the travel retail specialist open two stores in the soon-to-be-unveiled TWA Domestic Terminal under the internationally recognised Relay and Hub Convenience brands, as well as an additional Hub Convenience store in the arrivals area of the International Terminal.
The airport’s new TWA Terminal is expected to cater to a predominately FIFO (fly in, fly out) passenger base; a growing market arising as a result of the resources boom in Western Australia. With a 250sqm Relay store planned for the airside area and a 90sqm Hub Convenience landside, the travel retailer plans to deliver an offer specifically tailored to the needs of the FIFO passenger. CEO for the Pacific, Matt Mercier explains “FIFOs are an important segment within the Perth passenger mix. They have very specific expectations and needs, travel frequently and look for convenience as well as indulgence. Our goal is to create a retail experience that offers them a consistent, comprehensive range, yet at the same time, surprise them with something new each time they pass through the airport. We want to exceed their expectations every time they visit one of our stores.”
