LS travel retail Pacific appoints Fraser Reynolds to key duty free position
An experienced industry executive, Reynolds joins the company’s newly formed duty free division as Head of Merchandise & Supply Chain.
General Manager Duty Free, Ivo Favotto, describes the appointment as an important boost to the company’s plans for the region “Fraser’s deep knowledge of the local duty free landscape will be a huge asset to our team. He understands the logistics and mechanics involved in duty free like few others. And he understands customers and brands—and importantly—how to connect the two. His ability to bring the best brands to the mix will help ensure we deliver a world class offer, with a strong sense of place”.
With almost three decades working in the duty free sector throughout the Pacific, his experience includes senior roles across operations, merchandise, IT, logistics & supply chain, as well as inflight duty free.
The announcement follows the company’s recent acquisition of the Duty Free Stores Wellington Ltd business and news of an extension of its Queenstown Airport duty free concession to 2023. The continued build-up of its duty free expertise is a strong indication of the company’s determination to grow its footprint in duty free in the Pacific.
